What's learned

I thought I knew the internet. Now I know I have seen just a speck of it. The sharing of good information worldwide is invaluable. Some of the podcasting seems to be just a place for people to talk and share a lot of baloney. I didn't think I would be exposed to so much new information. I think the format was interactive and interesting.
I think the advertisement for this class could be "Just when you thought you knew everything..."

Even though we have had overdrive for some time, this instruction will be helpful. I also see how podcasts can be used for instruction!
Project Gutenberg would be awesome for speakers of foreign languages in a new country. We frequently are asked about books in other languages and we don't have the budget. If you don't mind reading at your computer, it's a true gift to readers.

I thought this was interesting and probably really helpful to people with medical issues. Being able to share what you are going through and listening to others can help with diagnosis.

I think I could sit and play with that all day. No wonder people are gaining weight- too much to do at the computer!
I looked at a Marlyn Monroe site and listened to a beautiful song while seeing a photoshoot she did on the beach.

I looked at peertrainer. I think people who are trying to lose weight need this kind of tracking and incentive. I thought it was a good tool.
I think that a lot of people come to the library for health related books- maybe a display encouraging people to keep track of their progress!
